Hmmmm, front looks good, albeit from that very limited pic. Don't like the back though :thumbdwn: - needs some pipes visible at least.

Any details on engine spec?

Steve

that looks quite cool actually! :)

It will all be down to price and what extras eg 4 pot brakes etc.

new KIA xR Ceed (2.0 I4 w/ 144hp).

could be this engine. found on us forum.

its a Kia Pro Cee'd aparently after a googling session :)

They're trying to make the front end look like the new M'bishi Evo X? But it's only got 144bhp - not 200+

The warranty alone will pull in many buyers, and why not?

IMHO, if we want to preserve the idea of personal mobility in the age of global warming, it it should be illegal to sell any motor vehicle with <100K/7 year warranty. It costs more C02 to make most cars than they typically burn in fuel. You'd find quality and longevity of all brands would go up with this kind of warranty, hence lowering Co2 footprint.

Sadly, like many pretend sporty versions of cars, this C'eed has just too many children's plastic toys bolted to it to look cool, so not being 14 years old myself, I probably wouldn't buy one. My 'true and understated cool' versus 'sad' filter would bang in with a vengeance!

But, it's similar with the the Octy VrS and the pointless fuel-sapping plank on the boot that says "look at me! I can't afford or use a decent, cool sports car, so I have a plank on my boot. Don't leap off at the lights before me. Grrr. Pass my action-man dollies"

Blimey, interesting point of view! But welcome to the debate

But are CO2 emissions linked to global warming, or more accurately, climate change? Discuss.

Steve

Yep gotta admit that a 7 year warranty tempts me, although the car itself would have to be good. Thinking about it, no modding for 7 years means it would have to be very good to start with...

I like the look of it though so will keep my eye on it.

What a carp name though!

I think they need atlest 175 BHP, may be 200!

Mike

my car doesn't have a fuel sapping plank on the boot :)

it has a fuel sapping turbo, fuel sapping front bumper and extremely fuel sapping right foot attached to a stupid big lump sat in the front seat :)

2 Litre Turbo, 200-225 BHP am told.........................no idea WHEN or how much.

Mike
