oil change

hi guys, im going to get my local garage to do my servicing. i used shell helix ultra oil in my previous car.i assume this will be fine for a 1.6fsi. also how many litres will i need to refill?. is it easy to reset the service indicator yourself ?.i change the oil every 7,500 miles as i drive mostly in the city . is this overkill or would just changing the oil as the onboard indicator dictates be a cost saving to me. cheers john
