MFD2 Issues

Featured Replies

I have a problem with the MFD2.

When I select "Tone" settings - the musical note key

it lists

Bass, Treble, Mid etc....

Select Bass with the right kn0b, Click in, then move the slider by rotating the kn0b left and right - clicking in again to set.

Then select Treble, click in, the rotate the kn0b and it does not slide?

Once it has done this even rotating the volume **** the volume popup appears but the slider does not move

To resolve I need to power off/on the unit.

Any ideas?

sounds a bit broke to me ray. i wonder if there's any way of getting the firmware to run again from the 2006 disk? (i havent read all the manual yet so it may be worth a look)

You'd think this would be straight forward, but I cant see a jumper or flash reset.... I think with the current issues with Oil and Coolant I feel like I'm running a 10 year old car not a 10mth one !

Do you mean the bit that loads when you first use a new disk?

I think that is just the mapping data loading.

When you place a newer disk in an "older" MFD2 it runs a firmware upgrade.

Yes I know but it loads up POI's etc on the the device.

ah sorry, thought it was a proper firmware update when it did it as i had a bit of a panic for a minute or two while it was loading!
