Got it!

Featured Replies

My new vRS TDi is parked outside my office and I haven't even driven it yet!

The dealer delivered it this morning.

I've had a flick through the manuals and a good look around it but think I'll go home at lunch time - via the scenic route :D

Enjoooooooooooooooooooooy

Enjoy the car mate im still grinning with mine

enjoy:thumbup:

good man enjoy it

Are you home yet?

Or still driving.

Will be good to get some first thoughts.

Good to know there's another red TDI on the road.

Dead chuffed with mine; bet you are too. I like the way it growls when you squeeze the throttle.

48mpg - mind you it's not been over 2500 rpm yet :D

I've just bought a red Richbrook tax disc holder off Ebay so I can get rid of the Lease company one.

I'll upset everyone by saying first impressions are more of a cruiser than a back road racer. This is relative to coming from a Clio Cup mind! It feels a lot better screwed together than my Mk1 vRS - Skoda have moved the game on somewhat!

Steve

Lucky Git! :P Still waiting for mine, look forwars to hearing your first impressions?

Congrats on the new addition Steve!

You will find it very hard not to go above 2500rpm, although I trying so hard to stay at 3500 for the time being! :D

Enjoy!

It's all a matter of attitude and state of mind. The TDI gives you all that torque between 2,000 - 4,500rpm. Ok; I'm still running mine in and gently going to 3,000 - 3,500rpm, I feel its better to spin the engine than let it labour.

Yes; I'd agree the vRS is a bit of a cruiser; a STEALTH cruiser! :D:cool: You don't need to cane it and rev the nuts off it; just go on that wave of torque.

Check the speedo - I've already caught myself doing 20-30mph more than I thought I was, so effortless is the power. I've already set the max speed 'bong' in the maxidot and found it a great alert to avoid going too fast.
