Scuffed alloys

Featured Replies

D'oh! I've gone and scuffed one of my alloys on a high curb, which has taken the laquer off down to bare metal.

I've read that Halfords sell a alloy wheel repair kit for about

Why put alloys on a Skoda?

Because the're probably an option on a polo!

Careless mum scuffed the alloys on our focus, a bad scratch, I masked it and sprayed over it w/silver paint, wouldn't know it had ever been scratched.

In the short run (until a proper repair can be done) go over the wound with a touch-up stick of lacquer. I did this when I rubbed the outer rim of my old 17s and it kept out the elements from getting under the lacquer and making the alloy grotty from underneath. (never bothered repairing due to only slight injury)

PS: kerbing alloys is part of driving I reckon... ok, just mine. :( :D

People like ChipsAway will 'touch up' scuffed alloys. Gilders use them.

How true! My wife's previous polos alloys were a very expensive option!

Ended up buying after market independent set instead!
