Marwood's vRS Pics!

Featured Replies

I said I'd try and post some pics so here goes! :)

Sadly, I just didn't have time to get my '4Star' sealant on. Going to use this and not a wax, I think.

I used the 'two bucket method' with a grit guard. Also the sheepskin mit that 'Clean your Car' threw into my order for free, a Sonus Ultimate drying towel, polishing cloth and a ShMitt on the wheels. The ONLY product I used to do the wash was Victoria Wax Super Soap.

I am not into 'detailing' (yet!) but I want to keep this car away from the petrol station car wash and to protect it as much as possible. I did notice a mark on the passenger door before cleaning, probably due to the over zealous use of an electric polisher before delivery.

Sorry the pics are in the wrong order (clean first) and that I didn't clear up the drive before taking them. If the close ups seem odd, it's because I wanted to show Tim at 'Clean your Car' what I had been up to with the lovely stuff he sent me!

Went to West Kirby today...didn't see your race blue one Dave, :D but did see red 56 plate at 2.45 pm......needed a wash!

Pics Hopefully here:

Nice pictures.

Some effort has gone into cleaning that.

Cheers

Hey that's one smart car - well done.

I had my done with Autoglym 'Lifeshine' by my dealer; I just need to give it a wash & leather and the occasional autoglym polish.

Here's a quick pic;-

Thanks for the positive comments!

Didn't take that long to do, but I haven't used the 'two bucket' method before....actually not hand washed a car for about 3 years!

Bought lots of other goodies to, which when my young son allows me I will be applying. Really tempted to try the Swissol stuff but resisted! the 'Chemical Guys' wheel sealer I got smells a bit like Angel Delight....sort of!

Not sure what my dealer polished mine with, but whatever it was seems to be very good. That red looks stunning, the more I see it the more I think I should have considered it.

Looks good. I plan on giving mine it's first wash on Monday. The paint feels nice and smooth so I skip a cleanse and just give it a good coat of Swissol wax.

Steve

nice looking car m8:thumbup:

Almost as nice as mine:P

Looking very nice Marwood  Black does look very good, and it's the first one in that colour I'm aware of in the area. I've seen a few blue ones (but not too many :) ) and the odd red one during my travels between here and Chester.

Now I know what to look out for, happy driving!

Dave.

Looking really good,I've owned a Mk1 in Black Magic and a Mk2 in Race blue -- can't really decide which I prefer - so if I ever get another one it'll probably be red

Take a look over at A world for detailers... for lots of usefull hints and tips for looking after your car.
