Boot release for Furby vRS

Featured Replies

When I test drove a Furby vRS some months ago, it had remote releases for the hatch and the fuel filler (on floor by the driver's seat). My car has arrived without the release for the hatch (fuel cap release only). Are you all finding the same thing or is this a deletion for the 2004 model year?

Mines the same. But you do get the hatch release on the remote. Which is nice.

Hmmm - how odd... Mine came with the boot release lever (older PD100) but I can honestly say in almost 3 years of ownership I've not used it once, so wouldn't mind if it never came with one.

The fact you tested one WITH a lever and got one WITHOUT is quite odd...

My Vrs arrived the same as yours just the fuel filler cap release release switch

Mine just has the fuel filler lever

I think one of the things, like rear electric windows, dropped - mine doesn't have it either. The test drive car I used only had the fuel release, but a boot release 'catch' on it!

I never used it at all on my old Tdi Fabia either so wouldn't worry about it!

By the way, watch using the keyfob release when the car is locked - the car will lock itself when the boot is reshut, which could be a problem if you put the keys down in the boot with your stuff, then shut it.....

I got one of the first vRS Fabias on the road, and can safely say that it did not come with a remote boot release inside the car, while my 16v had it inside and on the key.

I picked my car up last Friday and no boot release lever - like others it's on the remote.

One other item I did get was the fuel range on the MFA, I was sure the VR/S I tested did not have this - oh and also the one touch indicators, you know the ones that blink three times for you.

Not noticed anything else though.

The elegance model has both the lever and boot release on the key fob. I'm surprized the vRS you tested didn't have the fuel range, I thought this was in the trip computer, it is in my car. Not sure about the 3 touch indicators though, I suppose they may begood, but what was wrong with the old indicators. If it ain't broke.....
