I'm hesitating about getting a sports grille to replace the standard one which I find too big - I liked the old Octy 1 grille best. I've found one by Milotec - http://www.milotec.de/english/60001-63201_640.jpg - what do you think of it? Anybody got one already?

Does the grill surround come colour coded then? I quite like it I think but would like to see it on a 'real car' though... (would replace the milotec badge with the VRs badge though )

Finding a bodyshop who can spray chrome is like finding rocking horse ****. To be fair though most of them do say that they could do it but sooner or later the paint would crisp off as it doesn't take well to chrome.

You'd need to de-chrome it somehow first but not sure how you'd do it.

The grille surround is an add-on ABS part, which you can get sprayed - and as an old codger rear-ended me the other day - nothing more than a few chips off the bumper (relief) which is insurance is paying for - then I'm going to be in the paint shop soon anyway...

Am I the new moaner of the forum? Seems that way recently doesn't it.

Reason being I've just been a bit fed up with my Octavia, for various reasons as of late, and as such I've let some of my frustration out in some of my posts.

Please don't take offense as I am only expressing my honest feelings even if they are a bit pessimistic.

As for the grille, I personally would think about doing it. Depends on the colour of the car but I think it would look quite smart on diamond silver. The eyebrows aren't for me, but if you like them, go for it.

Mine's stone grey - pale blue-grey; I decided I didn't like silver ones when I realized that one car in two here in France is silver! The French are great conformists, whatever they may say!
