How long before a delivery date can be given would the Dealer know when the car would be ready or be in the country. I am waiting on a vrs estate tdi and its supposed to be ready begining of may but they still cannot give me any kind of date??

Dealer should know the dates when your car a) 'left factory', 'left port' on the continent, c) 'arrived port' at Grimsby.

From then it should be 3-5 days to get the car Grimsby to Dealer and 1-3 days for PDI/tax etc.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have GPS tracking on each car to give its EXACT position. Maybe one day/never!

Not sure; but mine took eight weeks exactly, order to delivery! (vRS TDI with loads of extras).
