I have just got my octavia vrs back from its MOT. when it went in for the MOT the Engine managment light was on and I had noticed it had been a bit irratic on tick over for the last couple of days (when the engine man light came on).

The MOT bloke checked it out on the ECU with his comp and found that cylinder no.2 had a misfire problem.

As such I have brought a new coilpack for cylinder no.2. The only thing i want to check is which is cylinder no 2. Is it read from left to right as you would expect or are they in some odd order? Just want to check before I fit.

Also anything i should know about changing the coil over.

p.s how much should i pay for a coil? just wanna check i've not been ripped off

cylinder number runs 1-2-3-4 with #1 being at the cambelt end.

To change the coil, remove the top engine cover, release the connector from the offending coil and pull it out.

Should be costing around
