Iv'e just been playing with Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PC's

Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I must say I am rather impressed, Iv'e been using it on a PIII 866 (EB 133mhz Bus) with 192MB of ram and an ancient 10GB hard drive, and it goes like the clappers.

Reason for posting is it seems to be hardly known about at all and is only avaliable through Microsofts software assurance scheme (For businesses). It's not avaliable anywhere else (retail/oem) but I found it on some bittorent sites. They have really managed to streamline it well, but still have all the fancy animations turned on by default:finger:

So if you have some old hardware and don't fancy linux, give it a try!

It works with an XP Pro OEM Serial/Licence and might just breathe some life into your old PC's and make them secure and up to date
