Polished my car today

Featured Replies

Washed it, then polished it with some auto glym super resin polish. Used some Meguiars stuff on the black bits of trim and tyres.

I know its not a hardcore detailing session but i am quite pleased with how it looks.

nice shine :)

silver cars are a pain, did my dad's silver Mondeo today

It took me 3 hours to fully detail the wifes Black Octavia bonnet yesterday....

My silver Fabia is a doddle ( as is crucifixion )

Silver cars are hard to get a decent shine and depth on. After you've applied the Super Resin Polish, try sealing it in with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. Will give your car a synthetic protection on it instead of having to apply wax and it will stop the Super Resin Polish coming out after a few washes.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, try the Meguiars Quick Clay to remove any contaminants on the paint before applying any polishes and sealants.

Very nice,i'm guessing them pics where taken on the westwood;) :D

Just finished doing the same cleaning regime on the wifes scenic. It has come up really well too. Started to rain just as i finished though:mad: but the beading of the water looks very nice.:)
