HI everyone, I've had my vrs for just over a month now and have done approx 1500 miles. I am generally pleased with the cars performance and build but i have noticed some strange noises. Apart from the dreaded stutter, i have noticed a strange gurgling sound at pre- ignition. Now i have heard plenty of fuel pumps priming in the past but this sounds totally different. My drivers window also sounds really notchy when retracting. One of the rear mat clips has been installed 90 degrees out and when i have tried to remove it, it seems as if the carpet will tear. Has anyone else experienced any of the above or knows of any quick fixes. Cheers

Gurgling, squishing noise at start up is fuel pump. You will also hear a high-pitched whistle soon after.

Both are normal.

The gurgling is some sort of fuel priming, it's normal nad there is nothing to worry about.

The mat clips can be turned round (I had the same issue with my Fabia and my Golf) they just take a bit of force.
