Adapter, Multichanger -> Sub?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Was possible looking to upgrade the standard ice. Was thinking of just adding an active sub to the boot.

I read on here that you can buy an adapter that plugs into the multichanger that you can plug a sub into.

Anybody seen one of these?

Was thinking of turning the bass down on the main speakers and mainly using the sub for bass...

never heard of that before i would have thought you will have to run extra wireing from the battery for a supply.

have you thought about just changing the head unit you will ge a lot better sound out of the standard speakers with a better head unit. then i would think about fitting a sub or new spekers ec.

You plug the adapter cable into the back of the HU, this gives you sub out, and the switched supply to turn the sub on/off. You still need to run a perm 12v supply for the sub, and the signal cable to the rear of the car.

Ok, thanks guys.

I think I will wait for a bit (read till I can afford) and upgrade the HU and stick a sub in.
