I am in the process of fitting a second hand Alpine media centre with DVD Sat Nav in my 2002 Octavia. There is a wire that needs to be connected to the vehicles speed sensor. Can anyone help with a wiring diagram or any info on where to connect it?? The sat nav works without it connected but seems to "lag" a bit. I also have a Hunter CB5 can bus interface which came with the system but I dont know what vehicle it was previously fitted too. Can I use this or am I right in thinking the old shape Octavia's didnt use Can bus. Any help mush appreciated as I dont want to send it to a car audio specialist due to high labour charges......

You need to connect the speed pulse wire for the satnav, to pin 1 in connector A. This is the GALA (speed sensitive volume) connection.

I use this pin on my Pioneer AVIC-X1 satnav, and it works just fine.
