Stream video from PC to TV

Featured Replies

I have seen a Kiss 1600 dvd player that has the function to stream video from your pc to your tv. I am very interested in this as it would allow me store my downloaded movies on my pc and then watch them on demand on my dvd player in another room. My question though, is the quality any good, is it easy to access the files on the pc and is there an alternative to this.

Thoughts welcome

ive not got one but have seriously concidered buying one, on the other hand you could buy a media drive, basically an external hdd with usb 2.0 but with the added bonus of having tv out and inbedded software that'll enable you to watch films youve copied on to the hdd from your pc - just not wireless

I use a chipped X-Box for this sort of thing.

It has a 120gb hard drive so I just shunt files onto it for playback then I can shut the main PC down. This saves having two devices on , though it can stream across a network if needed.

There are plenty of small media players that will do the job like this for example Freecom Network MediaPlayer-35 160GB including Apple's iTV
