Fuel fillter

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has replaced there fuel fillter on the skoda octavia vrs 1.8. The fillter next to the tank on the O/F rear. Any tips? Mine has developed a pin hole and is spraying fuel from the centre of the fillter. Looks like a stone may have hit it!

Hi mate piece of cake to do just go careful when squeezing the lock tabs on the pipes and make sure the new filter pushes home securely.....run for a few minutes checking for leaks

It will be the metal jubilee clip going around it that will have punctured it, they rub though after a time. Bin the clip and secure with a few plastic cable ties instead.

The hole is about 5mm away from the clip just on the plain surface! It is strange can only think of a stone or a weakness from new, there was tape around it as if some one had tried to do a repair. Strange having had the car 4 years and it's not been messed with in my time ( I dont think , but hey thats what kwik fit said about my bent sills , so who knows )
