vRS symphony - standard iso wiring??

Featured Replies

I have finally bought a new stereo for my octavia(01 RS) but have been trying to find the wiring of the car to see if it matches the 'standard iso' that the stereo claims to have

I see the sticky of the iso, but how do i find out if my car is infact iso wired for the standard radio?

I emailed a shop and they mentioned it should just plug in but i wanted to make sure first

ready and armed with my multi meter

cheers

It is standard ISO but the switched and constant power supplies are reversed. You'll have to swap these or buy an adaptor like the autoleads / halfords ones. You'll also need an aerial adaptor and an amplifier to ensure that you can get a good radio reception.

thats great then, most the hard work is done! (my stereo harness has the batt and ign as little connectors so they can be swaped) Joy!

i was reading that the areal amp is only needed on the 04 and later octavias

i am guessing you found this to not be the case?
