LED lights and Xenons...

Featured Replies

hi there people.

Have seen on ebay before LED replacement lights for brake lights, indicators etc and was just wanting some info from people.

I want these bulbs as I like the way that LED tail lights come on and go off... theres no fade in/out effect... just straight on and off... also they have a much longer life than standard bulbs and also are generally brighter.

My question is would it just be a straight swap or would I need any extra wiring etc.

Also I have been wanting some brighter headlight bulbs as mine seem very dim and was wondering if anyone knew which the best ones to get were? You can get bright white ones and ones that are tinted blue and also 100w none street legal ones... basically as close to HID effect as possible... as although I would love to shell out the

I have both an HID kit and LED rear brake light on my bike. You don't need to upgrade the wiring or electrics at all. The LED's that you should look for should be direct replacements for your bulbs. Rmember that most cars require at least some of the light to be directed at the reflector to be as effective. So look for bulbs that don't just point straight out the lens!

100W bulbs are very bright but increase the load on the wiring and run very hot. They can sometimes overheat the loom. Be careful! The best road legal 55W ones are something like Phillips Vision Plus - don't be tempted by the Xenon HID effect ones - worse than useless!

My HID kit for my bike is awesome - if you can live without High beam then you can get a kit for around

Fantastic... thats great advice...

Ive seen some LED lights on ebay that have a few LEDs facing back as well as forward to reflect to the back of the light so they sould be suitable...

The HIDs look great on the bike btw...

Think i will get some LEDs and then just stick with some good quality headlight bulbs.

Cheers!

Edit:

Have ordered me some lights!!

Have ordered full set of indicator bulbs and side light/brake lights.

Have also ordered a set of Philips Blue Vision headlight bulbs as they have got good reviews and also come with some matching sidelight bulbs...
