I guess this has been covered before, but it really would be nice to have an auto VRS. Is there any possibility that this will ever happen. If it doesn't happen what is the alternative?

No as no one would buy the Golf GTi.

I'm guessing lot of people buy the GTI as a manual - the sales of those hasn't collapsed due to VRS being available surely? Why is DSG different?
