I'm in need of upgrading my PC, which do I do first?

Current Spec reads:

Athlon 3800+

1gb RAM

Loadsa HDD (about 400gb)

512mb X1300 PCI-e VGA

Which do I do first? VGA or RAM?

Two of these

Or an extra gb of RAM?

I cannot afford both yet, the other will occur next month. Thanks for any advice

I am not sure of your maximum budjet, but if funds allow i think you may be better of going for a single 8800 gts 640mb version(check power supply) and then when the wallet has recovered add the extra gig of ram.

You could also think about a mild overclock on the cpu to give you a free small performance boost.

1gb ram is pretty reasonable as is, so i too would go for the vid cards first too. RAM is cheap now too, so go for good quality stuff like kingston or crucial when you do buy.
