Anyone removed the CD Changer Securing brackets in the boot of the Mk 1 Octy VRS? THis muight sound a bit silly but do the bolts that hold them to the chasis secure anything else like the bumpers?

I want to take mine out as I no longer have the changer and wanted to make sure nothing would drop off when I undid the bolts.

Mines an estate - the bolts go through to the bumper in mine - I guess the hatch would be the same. Nothing fell off when I took them out though - I just replaced the bolts when I'd removed the brackets.
