Just had a proper shock. I decided that my car would look much better with body mouldings off an Elegance, (with the chrome strip). Set against my Nightfire paintwork, I thought, yeap! that'll look great.

Rang a local stealer to get some prices, that's when the shock came, and boy oh boy, it nearly knocked me off my bloody chair!

A full set of body mouldings with the chrome strips would set me back over

This came up before Mr Baker21 looked into this if i remember rightly and got a similar shock.

Seems like a complete rip off for something that must cost pennies to manufacture!

Your telling me! As I work in the motor trade, (at a Peuegot Main Stealer), I wouldn't have been suprised if they had said somewhere around the

Just a thought could you not get any chrome tape and insert that?

Might look abit pants but you would get a idea as to how it would look be fore spending big money.

I did indeed look into this and found similar prices to what you have been quoted.....and if we are being realistic about it you could buy some upgraded suspension or wheels for that kind of money that would make more of an impact than the chrome strips.....

I thought long and hard about this and decided to spend money elsewhere as with my colour the black rubbing strips breaks up the colour in my opinion and I would be concerned about it looking too beige.....

I have now got my tyres on my black wheels so the black rubbing strips may help with the potential change in rims but I won't get chance to put them on until next week now....

If I had the money I would get the doors and bumpers all smoothed but that is not cheap!!

My Dad did do this to his former Superb Comfort, got a strip of chrome from HellFRAUDs, it looked ok, smaller than the strip the Elegance comes with, but he liked it.
