Had a funny 5 minutes, and have started painting the centre console surround, silver. Looks ok so far. Will post pics when done. Ordered a new one anyway cause this one has a little crack in it, so if it looks rubbish, nothing really lost!

Yeah I did this on my Bora and came up with some good results.......

I cant afford to have a funny five minutes with mine through fear of having to buy a part for it...Not exactly the cheapest of motors to replace parts with unfortunately!!

Ok, so it didn't go to plan, the top bit around the stereo and drawer looks ok, but where it resesses to the climate control panel the spray went all funny, and now look a mess. Will post soome pics up though , as I put it into the car just to see how it looked. It brightens up the cabin nicely

The dealer rang me today to tell me my new trim, blanking switches and umbrella have arrived

Surely yours was black to begin with? The trim around the stereo/drawer and climate control? I thought that all cars except elegance (Wood) and edition 100 (Piano black wood) came with the onyx (black) surround

Not mine buddy.....whoever bought it had specified wood on both the surround and the gear **** which are both now long gone.......

.....and the gear **** .......

Fairly easily mate, if you pull up the surrounding plastic from the handbrake area then it all becomes apparent underneath the leather gaitor....
