Sub grille?

Featured Replies

Hullo

Now my sub is secured, I'd like to be able to load up my boot without worrying about damage to the cone. Is there anywhere you can get grilles to fit? I think I may resort to taking my sub to local ICE shop in Exeter, but wondered if anyone else has "guarded" their boom box? :speaker:

Maplin will sell you a variety of screw on hard plastic covers.

My sub just has a couple of thin steel bars across the cone.

Thin steel bars were what I was envisaging when I first thought of it...

Two of three of those screwed into the timber frame on my sub would be the perfect solution - also gives me something to wrap some barryboy neon wires around.

Last time I looked into this I found some nice stainless ones designed for marine use.. will see if I can find them....

You can buy plastic-type grills to protect the sub - there's some place that will laser etch the logo of your choice onto it, IIRC...

I've got a nice big boot Skoda emblem still attached to the wreck. About time to lever it off and stick it somewhere. :D dashboard I think.

Kicker also make a nice looking grille type thing but i'm not sure it would suit what you want.
