Autoleads tele mute (HU switching off)????

Featured Replies

I fitted one these Autoleads tele mute looms today

It all works great until I crank up the volume and then the Hu switchs off for a split second and then comes back on with the volume attenuated light flashing

Its a Kenwood 808 HU and a nokia CK-7W car kit.

Has anyone come across this before.

It may be a loose wire somewhere I'll whip out the glovebox (again) in the morning and have a nose . Is getting a bit messy behind there these days.

Nice one

Well I rang autoleads this morning and the told me to unplug the mute lead so i did this. It now goes a little louder than before but the problem is still there minus the attenuate light flashing when it comes back on.

I think the brain on the loom is knackered or it cant handle the 50 watt output on the head unit. If it's the latter then it's back the to aux in way i had it setup like in the first place.

ho-hum

After a few emails to autoleads i have sorted this it was down to the raw 50watts of power HU pumps out, had to by pass the telemute box to much current draw causing it to trip

If any ever needs help pm for more info

I found Autoleads tech support pretty helpfull.

I fitted a telemute lead to the Roomster along with the 06 Sense lead to give a phantom ign live to the Nokia CK7W and lost the aux in from the iPod. 1 quick call and the problem was sorted.

This setup works brilliantly and will also work for the New Fabia.
