Anyone had a VRs on the rollers recently??

Featured Replies

Going to a rolling road session on saturday and due to a change of venue gonna take the wifey's Furby and not my Scoob (2WD rollers).

Anyone run a std car or oneclicked one recently? What figures did you get?

Cheers

ACSC:)

i've seen between 141-145bhp at the wheels and 126-133bhp at the flywheel on Awesomes rollers , standard bar a PD160 pipe and green filter

going again later in year , Dragon box now fitted

I'm on one this saturday. Hoping for 250ish. :)

Standard you should see around 140. Seems to be a common thing.

Which RR? It's well doccumented that the same car, in the same atmospheric conditions, will return different figures on different RRs.

Back from the meet (R Nicholson Motors, Crowle, Scunthorpe) with:

STD, 118.5 BHP + 227 lb/ft

ONE CLICKED, 138.5 BHP + 250 lb/ft

A little low on the BHP figures but as has been said , RR's vary and it was a very warm day so another variable in the mix.

A supercharged CTR gave the operator a shock as it tried to leave the rollers at 100 MPH+!!!!

Presumably those are "at the wheel" figures?

Chris

does seem a tad low , but i suppose a hot day would cause some heat soak especially the 2nd and 3rd runs

118bhp at the wheels would roughly equate to 130bhp at the fly. Sounds about right to me :D

Fly BHP matey,

Defo was hot in there and as you say heat soak was a major player,

118 BHP was 94.5 WHP, 138.5 BHP was 113.5 WHP according to the computer print out.

Only took the fabia as it was a 2WD road so couldnt take the Scoob. The hondas that were there were also down on power so i wasnt the only one suffering and certainly won the prize for most "torque".

I've just had mine remapped at Jabbasport...

Std - 138.5HP/272lb/ft

Remapped - 174HP/309lb/ft :)

Ambient air temperature was 25-26oC so would expect higher figures on a cooler day.

Stutter gone! Now 6th gear seems too short!
