Evenin' all!

Featured Replies

Typically of me I've got this all back to front and started to post without introducing myself, so better get that sorted!

I found the site through Honest John's forum whilst reading the road test for the Octavia (specifically the vRS) with a view to buying, and was really impressed by the breadth of knowledge and the friendly responses so decided to join. As you might have seen in another thread I've recently had the pleasure of trying out an Octavia 4x4 out of the blue and was very impressed so that's made my decision a bit trickier ;)

Still not sure which way to go, as I was also considering the Leon Cupra but unmolested examples of that are getting harder to find. I quite like the Q car appeal of the Octy though which is a definite plus point around some of the areas I have to visit.

So yes, whichever way it goes I'm happy to be here, and thanks to everyone who has chipped in advice and pointers so far :)

Hello & welcome

Welcome to Briskoda

Alreet? vRS every time. It's a commendable vehicle and has what most modern cars are lacking - character in spades (whatever that means)

4x4 is a good car but you have to spend a decent wedge to make it go as fast as a vRS and even more to make it look as good as a vRS. It's a no brainer.

Having seen one or two 'special' 4x4 cars (MK1) I think if you are after a MK1 and want to take things further the 4x4 is the perfect canvas.

Welcome.

Hiya. Oh and I started to post other places first too. You are not alone.
