First of all - big thanks to Tim (timvrs?) for selling me these luvverly looking 6 x 9 speakers - brand new and at a bargain price!

I managed to break out mate's jigsaw on my spare Fabia parcel shelf (one good thing about the crash was the spare parcel shelf in case I fooked up my first attempt at cutting the holes. As it was it was OK and after a few adjustments I was able to secure both speakers accurately... The underneath of the parcel shelf didn't make it easy for me to follow the screwing in method due to being all "bobbly" and uneven, but luckily Alpine had that covered and also provided some good length bolts and nuts. Well done Alpine. So now, I have a parcel shelf by the front door ready to go into the Fabia and then all that's left is to chop through the wires to the existing rear speakers, fit some sort of (chocolate block?) connector so I can remove the parcel shelf but still have rear speakers.

I'm quite chuffed now so I've taken some piccies too - now where's that neon wire to wrap around them?

Jason... If you use bullet connectors you'll not need to get the screwdrivers out to disconnect them when you want to remove the parcel shelf for luggage/cleaning etc!
