I have been looking for a camcorder but i cant make my mind up. Its either a jvc or sony both hard drive units.

currys are doing the mg175ek for £346 web offer which i thought was good

have about £350 to spend

Whats your thoughts on this ?

its been a while since i was into camcorders, but i always found both brands to be good. but i always thought jvc was abit harder to use and a bit fiddley. So i always stuck with sony. ive had use of quite a few over the years my fav was a DCRPC110 which was excellent!

ive not tried the HD units but ive heard they are brilliant quality, and the lens on sonys are still carl zeiss, which are excellent quality for colour depth/

i guess you can see my own preferances lol
