How long from factory to dealer ?

Featured Replies

Lets say the car was built on September 14th. What would you guess the actual pickup date would be ?

I would say 8 - 10 weeks.

Sorry, I read that as ordered not built

Well, the guideline is upto 12 weeks so should be very soon.

Mine was built on the 18th July, the dealer said all things going well it should be with them by the end of the month, it was ready by 3rd August and I picked it up on the 10th.

Mine was built week 35 apparently.

The latest is that the dealer is expecting it on the 28th Sept.

How often do they ship?? Could mine be on the same shipment????

I imagine they ship when they have a full shipment, X Number of Cars on the Train/Container.

The top three dates are off the Skoda System the Dealers access, the Dealer Delivery Date is estimated and onwards to me.

My wife was very dubious about the colour - she prefered silver - but is now converted. It's a rich metallic red and looks great in my opinion. It does show the the dirt - especially water marks and dust - but no more than other dark colours.

If you search the forum for Flamenco Red, there are some pics of mine and other estates.

Hi Guys. They deliver twice a month. They come in on VAG ships. I have a family member that works for the Distributers Mine was built in week 35 It was in the country last wedensday and I picked it up yesterday. And I am loving evry second. I traded a BMW 5 series against it and it was the best thing I have done in ages. I am Ireland so if thre are 2 ships a month here I would expect more in the UK although Skoda are over the whole "Its a Skoda" thing over here so they have a very good rep here.

That's interesting to know. Wonder how many shipments to Grimsby then?

Do all UK cars come to Grimsby??

Just spoke to the company that has organised my car - they said they have contacted the dealer and the car landed today at Grimsby.

How long from here then? I have no idea which dealer it's going to; only know is south somewhere.

Cheers - not long now:thumbup:
