Why cant it remeber my name and password?

Featured Replies

A strange one this but for some reason since the site moved from the old address,i can not get it to retain my username and password. All other sites i go to with pass and usernames all save no problem except the biskoda site!! :thumbdwn:

Also if you have no activity on the site for say 10 mins i am logged off and have to redo the pass and name. This is espacially annoying when if you type a long message etc you are logged off,but when you try to log on again to send it,it gives an error and everything you typed is lost cos the browser wont let you go back because the page has expired!!!

So anyone got any suggestions? im on xp and i.e 6.02 btw :)

Edit for smelling....

sounds like a silly Q if other sites save your login info, but cookies are enabled?

Aside from that all I can think of it delete all cookies and start afresh - maybe there's some ancient briskoda stale cookie lurking in that folder not doing its job right?

 :D

hehehe....i knew i`d get this answer ;).This is partly the reason after a couple of months why ive actually decided to post now about it.Just before i posted this i deleted all cookies just in case, like you said a "stale" one was hanging about :P .Not cured it at all.so went to honda rev and scoobynet sites, relogged onto them(cos obviously pass has gone cos of deleted cookies) closed browser, reopened new browser and hey presto.....no problem logged on.Its a puzzler and no mistake :(

ahem - is there a cookie left in that folder with briskoda's name on it when you asked it to "remember me" ?? I'm no PC techie so doubt I'll be able to help much after this question proves unhelpful :D

GRRRRRR :(.......right ive done as you said devon and PHYSICALLY deleted all the files within the cookies directory(i did it via I.E 6 before).Only file that now remains in the cookies folder is INDEX.dat.Try again.....exact same,scoobynet/honda rev work fine when relogging on briskoda doesnt wanna know  .

Colin tryed your link m8 but again...still no joy :(......clicked every tick box and pressed to delete and it came back with reply "you have no cookies".......Whats plan B then? ;)

HAHAHAH....hmmmm...sussed it  .This is gonna be tricky to explain, but i had the forums set as my link in the FAVORITES and not the home page.So when i went to the home page i saw that it was in fact telling me i was logged on!!so seeing that i then pressed the link to the forums again and i was logged on to them aswell!!!!!so saved the forum as fav again overwrought my previous link, closed browser, reopened a new one clicked new link....you guessed it...works fine  .Anywho thanks devon and colin for the help.....guess if id linked to the home page at the time of the move i wouldnt have had this prob :D
