It does work and you have to enable it with VAGCOM. (on an my08 L&K).

Select the central electrics module 46 and select coding.

NOTE YOUR CURRENT CODE WITH a SCREENSAVE IMAGE.!!!

Change byte 17 bit 0 to ticked.

This line is tagged as 'Emergency Brake Flash Light Active'.

Does not seem to work at lower speeds, however when travelling around 70mph mark if you slam your anchors on the indicators flash a few times.

Almost certainly illegal in the UK, thats probably why its not enabled.

Obviously not illegal then. Not wishing to open a minefield but does it need to be part of the type approval tests or whatever they do so legal on some cars but not on others, who gives a stuff I think is the answer
