Emergency indicators on high speed motorway stop.

Featured Replies

It does work and you have to enable it with VAGCOM. (on an my08 L&K).

Select the central electrics module 46 and select coding.

NOTE YOUR CURRENT CODE WITH a SCREENSAVE IMAGE.!!!

Change byte 17 bit 0 to ticked.

This line is tagged as 'Emergency Brake Flash Light Active'.

Does not seem to work at lower speeds, however when travelling around 70mph mark if you slam your anchors on the indicators flash a few times.:)

cool will have to look at this one tomorrow :)

Great now we got a load of Octavia II's slamming on the brakes at 70 trying it out..lol.

no difference to normal driving here then ;)

I spied this feature in the manual and was a little irritated to find it didn't work.

Almost certainly illegal in the UK, thats probably why its not enabled.

???

Many cars have this as standard, including the Citroen Picasso - my dad has one and I think its a nice feature.

Obviously not illegal then. Not wishing to open a minefield but does it need to be part of the type approval tests or whatever they do so legal on some cars but not on others, who gives a stuff I think is the answer
