magnex exhaust

Featured Replies

hi folks just wondered if anyone has fitted a magnex cat back exhaust to there mk1 octy vrs,can get a good deal on 1 and on there website it is 70mm bore which is 2.75 inch if my calculations are correct, which is what miltek are no offering, have had a miltek on both my golf vr6 and leon cupra and wasn,t impressed with fitment, required a lot of fiddling to get right, other option is supersprint, had one on my mk2 golf gti, good fit and sound,my dad has a blueflame cat back on his mk1 octy vrs, fits like a glove, but im not to keen on the upswept tailpipe, guy at work has a magnex on his civic type r,nice fit and sound, not loud but a nice deep tone.

This is the first time I've ever heard anything bad said about Milltek, so I'm a bit suprised.

Anyway, I've used Magnex exhausts before and they're pretty good... but... I think if it were my money I'd plump for a Milltek.

hi mate,im not saying miltek are bad, once i got it fitting right it was fine, nice exhaust note, miltek are well made, just i had fitting problems with the 2 cars i fitted them on,if u look over on ukmkivs.net,a lot of people have had fitment problems, mainly where it runs over the rear axle,i wouldn,t heasitate and find a miltek if i knew it was gonna fit rite first time.
