replacement cd autochanger

Featured Replies

I got my autochanger replaced in feb. 8 months ago and have not had the cds returned even after requesting for them at the time and several times since. Has anybody else had a similar experience?

:thumbdwn:

Yeah, somebody once broke my car window and stole the radio/cassette player with a cassette still in it! :D

Joking aside, it would seem that your CDs have been stolen, which is a crime. Maybe if you were to mention that you intend to report this crime to the local constabulary they might try a bit harder to find them. (The people who have them, that is. The local constabulary won't try to find them at all).

I believe c/s should issue vouchers/cheque for cost of CD's as if the changer is faulty and the magazine couldn't be removed it would have been returned as such to Skoda and then the manufacturer.

surely if it was just the mechanism that was broken they could've manually released the magazine to get the CDs out in the first place?

That would mean some dissassembley and dealers are not allowed to do that with a warranty item.

That's like saying they can't disassemble my car to find a really annoying rattle... oh wait hang on a minute, they just did!

Really miffed at the moment actually, been without my new Octy vRS for 5 days now because they can't work out where the rattle is coming from! I'll save that for another thread though ;)
