Hi all,

I have just bought a new rear washer jet for my mk1 vrs octy hatch.

The problem is that it does not look like my current one and i don't know how it will fit.My dealer says it the correct one and i have checked on ETKA and it is but why is mine different-see pic-

Could someone please check theirs before i take it back.

Ps the new part number from my dealer is 1z5 955 957

Depending on chassis number it could be 6Y6 955 957 for your car. Does the old one have the number on it?

I have managed to get the old one cleaned out with a pin and water:eek:.

I wouldn't mind knowing which one of the two other members have on their mk1 octys so i can rule out if mines an aftermarket jet.

Sorry to dig an old thread up but I have a blocked rear jet at the moment so went to the local stealers yesterday as on the phone they said they happened to have a rear jet for a Mk1 Octy in stock. Well it looks nothing like the one that is on there!

The one that's on there is a long block shape and clips around the wiper arm - the one they've given me is a little block and has no visible way of fixing to the wiper :( I had a look to see whether it would fit in the dealership carpark and went straight back in and told them it was wrong but they can't refund it until tomorrow :thumbdwn:

So what rear washers does everyone else have? And does anyone know what the part number is for the one that clips around the wiper stalk because as far as I can see that is the only one that is going to fit my wiper :confused:

yours does highlight the later part 1Z5 955 957 but its bang on a changeover so i suspect yours has the earlier jet fitted 6Y6 955 957 hope this helps

I'm not sure what part no. was on the bag the new part came in, but I'll tell them to try the 6Y6 955 957 number when they re-order tomorrow. Thanks Bond007!

yeh i dont keep either to have a look at but with it being so close to a changeover i suspect that this is the case hope you get it sorted!

I had mine checked with the chassis number and they still gave me the wrong one. I presume it is the other one listed for the Mk1 Octy. Must be a balls up with the change over on Skodas parts system.
