Fabia Hatch: Rear Washer Leak

Featured Replies

Had one of those infamous rear washer leaks. After searching through quite a few posts I found that there is a joint inside the car over the wheel arch on the passengers side.

I fitted some wiring in there a week or so ago for my trailer and didn't see the black pipe, which ended up popping out.

I've included some pictures so that people can see what it looks like.

1. Oh Dear, my Furby has had an accident... (ignore the nasty scratch!!! I'm talking about the leak ) :)

2. A view of the pipe from the boot, with the trim pushed to one side. Notice the black pipe coupling in the centre of the shot.

3. A view of the pipe from above, when leaning in from the rear passenger side door with the trim removed. Notice the wiring loom on the left, there is a lip. If the black nozzle is aiming upwards near that lip, you'll get water running inside the car rather than out.

Cheers.

That should help a few newbies :)
