Right just bought my self a jelopy for the winter while I sell both the Audi and the vRS.

But it has a bit of an problem with a high idle, and a water temp gauge which only works when it wants to.

The engine is the old vw 2.0, anybody know much about these engines ? Lummox you there ?

Cheap one - check the throttle cable's not over-tightened.

I'm going to give it a good service on sunday. It needs a new exhaust for definate, as is blowing badly from just under the driver's seat. I've also just ordered a 2x2 converter for my hex com vag cable so I'll know a bit more next week.

Apart from the engine running a bit rough the car is amazingly good condition for it's age and milage.
