brakes dragging

Featured Replies

hi i have a problem with my brakes occasionally dragging it feels like they are still on a bit when i go to pull off if i put my foot under the pedal it comes up the last few milimeteres and the brakes release and then feel normal has anyone come accross this before thanks john fabia 2001 1.9 tdi pd engine .

I saw a thread about something that sounds similar in either the Octavia (A4) or Felicia forum earlier today. Discussion between DaveRapid and Lumox on changing servos.

Could it be a problem with the brake master cylinder?

Chris

Sounds like the problem I was having after I had my new discs fitted. Reported it when the car was in for service, and they did some (unspecified) warranty work which fixed it. All I know is that there is now a 35mm film canister-sized brass cylinder on the inboard side of each of the rear calipers that I don't think was there before... No idea how much it would have cost outside warranty though, I'm afraid...
