Help - Heated Seats Not Working :(

Morning all...

I wonder if anyone has had a problem with their heated seats? The NS rear seat has stopped working on ours and I suspect it's the switch. However, the dealer said it isn't, as a failed switch would show on VAGCOM? It that really true??? Does anyone know how hard it is to get to the switches in the centre consul? My plan is to swap the switches over and see if this solves the problem. I hope so - the thought of a dealer sodding-about with the seat anchors and leather uphostery to replace the heating pads and / or removing the carpets to get to the wiring doesn't fill me with joy!

Any help / advise appreciated as always....
