Exhaust gaskets?

Featured Replies

Hi - I've just bought a new Blueflame catback exhaust off ebay, and the ad stated no gaskets supplied. Can someone let me know which and how many gaskets I need?

Thanks in advance, :)

It will be the exhaust to cat gasket

Just the one will do, when you order it they will say if that is incorrect.

Excellent - is there anything else I will need prior to geting it fitted? :)

The only gasket on the vrs exhaust is the turbo to downpipe/cat. As you have a cat back cant see where any other gaskets would be required?.

thanks :) - the blueflame one looks like this, I assume the flange closest will need a gasket? - if so and Skoda don't need any for the standard system - I might be a bit stuck getting one

Mmmm strange place to put a flanged joint, you might be lucky and pick a gasket suitable in halfrauds, or try smearing the faces with exhaust putty before assembly,or contact blue flame if all else fails.

good plan - nice one, thanks! :)

Mate take the pipe into a Exhaust centre they should (if like my place) have stock of several types of gasket that will fit as well as nuts and bolts to fit it

Nigel at blueflame told me no gasket was necessary as the surface is so finely machined, only a bit of paste is required.
