One of my headlight bulbs went last night - are they covered by the waranty?

Nope, they're consumables AFAIK - do you have xenons? I think the element costs something like £80... :(

They'd be classed as consumables (along with tyres, etc.) and so would be excluded from warranty cover.

There'd be nothing stopping you from contacting your dealer and seeing if they would swap one out for you under warranty, although I expect the cost of fuel to get there would be more than the cost of a new bulb from a local motor factor (unless you've got Xenons).

Most manufacturers (dunno about VAG/Skoda) will replace light bulbs in the first six months of the car's life, but after that they are considered to be consumable items.

The exception are Xenon units which are not supposed to fail and which are warranted for a new car's guarantee period.
