What should be done if ??

Featured Replies

Hi

In the thread by MarkyW " the deed is done" a picture is painted that is quite worrying. I am left with the concern of what should be done if ??

Car : New 1.9 TDI 4x4 estate, leased, fully comp insured, skoda guarantee , on business trips regularly, 40,000km yr

Lady driver alone at night, crossing borders in eastern europe, has a slight shunt like MarkyW. Now she would exchange documents, and call the police. Here we need the police report for the insurance. We will say like MarkyWs accident all looks OK,

1/ should she drive maybe the next 200 or 300 km to home or her hotel ??

2/ should she wait on the side of the road , maybe in the dark for a transporter, Skoda man, Insurance man, whatever in case more damage is done . What is best to cover yourself against Leasing co, insurance comp, Skoda liability, and of course safety of the lady at night. ??

If it is a serious shunt, would she get another car, if so from whom, ins, or Skoda.?

Wife is currently driving back from Serbia now 414km alone, but at this time another car being used, which is not the issue. Thank you in advance.
