Got a missing one in octy 2002 L&K with symphonic stereo. Multi plug there, changer isn't. I have a Sony 6cd changer which looks similar, can I get a converter lead (it looks like some sort of DIN plug and 2x phono) and if so will it work?

Searched but brought up conflicting advice!

Pretty much a flat no.

The converter lead would need to at a bare minimum convert the control signals from the HU into the format the sony expects and the same the other way.

That plus some changers send out digital audio and let the HU decode it, while other send it out analogue.
