Stream Reception Fix

Popped into my dealer the other day to have a level tweak on my xenons and mentioned to the technician about the reception performance of the Stream HU.

He admitted it was a universal problem (probably to Skoda's dismay) but said that he had recently found a solution! Apparently they recently had a car in that had some kind of aluminium tube "styling enhancement" fitted over the aerial and the car showed no symptoms of poor reception. To be sure that it wasn't just that vehicle they tried the tube on others and it provided almost perfect reception on all the cars they tried.

The only problem is that they didn't find out where the mod came from but are currently on the look out themselves because they've got a queue of dissatisfied customers who would benefit from one. Apparently it is silver finish (so might look a bit naff) but I don't see that it wouldn't be possible to paint /anodise it black if you wanted to.

Does anybody have any ideas what this could be and where I can get one?
