Nokia N95 slider

Featured Replies

Not another N95 thread :P

Has anyone had any issues with the slider on there N95? Mine has become a bit lose and has started to make a scraping noise when sliding it open

There is a fix on the N95users.com website, just wondering if anyone tried the fix?

Yer I thought about that but I dont have any insurance and dont want to be without the phone whilst they repair it!

Im on T-Mobile, anyone had any dealings them or should I talk directly too Nokia?

You need to find a Nokia service centre near you, they'll sort you out

mine is a teeny bit rattly but its nothing that i wouldn't expect with moving parts on a phone tbh.

No problems here, but not really had it long enough anyway.

As said, take it to your nearest Service Centre - when I've taken previous phones in they've given me a basic phone to use while it's being sorted, FoC. A courtesy phone you might say :)

Ahhh, you are really better taking it in, you don't need insurance and you should be able to get it sorted under warranty. T-Mobile won't really care and Nokia will give you options of going to an NCP (Nokia care point) for an express service or using the freepost option which takes up to 2 weeks

You have NCP's in Canterbury and Bluewater, they should be able to take care of that for you. Nokia will refer you to them anyhow. You should be able to get a loaner albeit a boggo standard one and subject to a deposit, but the beauty is they should be able to get it done in about 2-3 hours.

Cheers fella, will try the Canturbury NPC

Let us know how you get on!

This is why I went for the N73 - no moving parts ;)

I had an N80 for a year and i've had my N95 for getting on 9 months and the sliders have been faultless.

No problems with mine to date but I do look after it,

no putting it in pockets with keys or other crap etc. And also

place it on a soft surface at home/office :)

Same here, keep it in a Tigger phone sock most of the time :o

I'm sure it just needs adjusting or something small and it'll be as good as new :D

Mine is properly battered and bruised, it's been chucked across the car in temper, dropped more times than I can remember, soaked, covered in oil etc etc and the slider is still good, must be all that oil :D

Well done

It's a phone not a puppy ffs.

if it isn't working properly, and it's new, complain to the phone people , don't whinge on a car forum.
