Problems with multi steering wheel

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have a problem with my multi steering wheel. The buttons for the soundsystem doesn't work. My car has been a Taxi, and I know that the former owner cut many wires for the taximeter etc.

Maybe the problem is that a wire is loose? I don't know if there is a wire between the steering wheel and the SAT NAV DX system?

How can I remove the SAT NAT to get to the back of the unit?

Obvious, but have you tried turning the unit off and then on again? My Symphony sometimes does this, when I power the headunit down and then on again, my steering remote works again.

Turning the unit off and on? Like Turning the Sat Nav system off and on? Doesn't it always go off and on when I start the car? I still have the problem..

What trim spec if your Superb? Classic, Comfort, Elegance?

If the Sat Nav system was retrofitted then the steering wheels controls will never have worked as the wiring is not there for it....

With regards to the DX unit removal, there are four thin slots on at each corner of the unit and you will need four keys, one in each slot to remove the unit....

If that is the case then there is another problem, possibly caused by the previous owner? Have the controls always worked since you have had the car or not?
