Caliper upgrade

Featured Replies

I want to upgrade the front calipers on my vRS.

I see that people use the Brembo's or the AP's from the Leon / Ibiza.

I'm guessing these will need brackets making up to mount them to the car?

First upgrade is probably trying some better pads and better fluids. That'll be the cheapest for starters :)

I have brembo GT 4 pots on my Fabia but to be honest, I don't feel it's a massive improvement over a decent 312mm setup (which you currently have) with ferodo ds2500 pads or Mintex Extreme pads and super DOT 4 fluid (or DOT 5.1 fluid but then need to do a complete fluid drain)

just buy the kit stright from the leon as it has the same hub carriers so the little caliper bracket things just bolt on.

only issue is wheel clearance, to carry on using your standard wheels on the 323mm brembo's you'll need at least 8mm of spacing.

Which of the wheel catches on the caliper?

if you mean what part of the wheel its the spoke and you will need quite a wheel to clear the calipers like the standard fit cupra R wheels :)
