Golf/Polo Cup holders

been looking on vagparts and they list

I am guessing this is a DIN unit? will it fit and work in the din cubby hole below the radio?

alternatively,

I am a little wary because of the angle of the centre console? I don't know what it is for a Golf or Polo so don't know how level these will hold the cup?

A completely different idea i had was find a breakers remove the handbrake section of the centre console from an Octavia with a cup holder and replace my centre console, only have a '99 GLX. Would this be an option to gain an arm rest etc?

Ive this fitted in my Octavia in place of the cubby hole under the stereo and it fits and works fine mate.
