Just after a small bit of advice. I'm thinking about getting a Fabia vRS in September (well a bit more than thinking about as I'm considering options) but am not sure whether or not to order it with ESP.

After doing an advanced search (for ESP) it seems unclear as to what the general opinion is regarding the merits of having it on/off round a track or for a bit of fun. I'd have to agree that for this I'd have thought it would be best left off.

The car will be used everyday for the boring commute to and from work as well as having a bit of fun with. I suppose my question is, 'Is it worth oredering, i.e is it that much better than the standard ABS, EDL, ASR'?

I'm fairly sure this will become a cost related debate, but if that were not a consideration (I wish), what is the general opinion?

Can't comment on ESP but the I have started switching off the ASR on mine on a regular basis - the car is easier to get off the line in the dry and isnt so hesitant to go when you floor it. Works well in the wet though.

Its strange as the ASR seems more intrusive on the RS than it was on my tdi.

so best left off if you want a bit of fun in the dry

Again. Can't comment on the ESP, but personally didn't see the point as I too turn the ASR off in the dry. More fun!
